Former RBA board member John Edwards calls for inquiry into banks

We don’t need an inquiry into the commercial banks but we do need an inquiry into the Reserve Bank and monetary policy. The Reserve Bank is run by a bunch of unelected hoodlums who have systematically destroyed the Australian economy, destroyed the Australian dollar, destroyed the Equity (share) market and more importantly destroyed the capital wealth of middle class Australia. They have pursued an obsolete policy of driving down the cash rate in the vain belief that this will stimulate investors with capital to borrow and spend. However, it has had the reverse effect and has frightened people into fearing that the future is fraught with economic chaos and failure.

Labor senators call for party to block marriage equality plebiscite legislation

First we need to ask ourselves, how many gays are there in Australia and what benefit may arise from introducing same sex marriages. The statistics reveal that gays of any type or description make up a minute percentage of the population probably less than 1%. Therefore, let us turn to New Zealand where same sex marriages have been legislated. The total number of same-sex marriages registered in New Zealand in 2014 was 486, compared to 19,639 opposite-sex marriages. These figures would suggest that the issue of same sex marriages in Australia is out of proportion to the social good that might be achieved. In other words, the community is be wagged by a minuscule number of people. Moreover, the reason the gay lobby is against the plebiscite is because they will lose it. The vast majority of Australians are not going to be high jacked by a noisy minority.

Sonia Kruger objects to scholarships for gay, lesbian and transgender students as ‘reverse discrimination’

Sonia Kruger is right to protest and object to the awarding of money scholarships to teenagers who say they are gay for no other reason than that they say they are gay. Homosexuality does not need to be encouraged. The idea that anybody can do as Noddy did, “Wake up one morning feeling a little queer.” is ridiculous, let alone teenagers with little or no experience of the world declaring themselves gay for the sole purpose of obtaining money is an outrage. Who are these jerks at the Australian Business and Community Network Scholarship Foundation?

Pushbike-hating truckie soaks cyclists in dangerous ‘prank’

Bicycles, bicycles and dammed bicycles, they are a god dam fool of a contraption inherently unstable, mainly used for entertainment. Only a daredevil would ride them in an uncontrolled environment. Cyclists are another sector of the great unwashed masses that live off the charity of the taxpayer/ratepayer and whinge about not getting a fair go. They are unlicensed, ride unregistered vehicles and make no contribution to the upkeep of the road system as a whole. Anybody who would ride a bike on the road system as it exists today needs to seriously look at the odds of survival. It is tough enough driving a car with its built in safety features. Cyclists need to be licensed and pay the same fee as a motorist; they further need to pay a flat fee of $500 to operate their bike on a roadway and a poll tax should be levied on all riders for highway upkeep and furthermore, keep off the footpaths. Capiche.

Comment: Malcolm’s choice: Rudd’s UN no-go hurts both men

Bernard Keane of Crikey is talking through his hat. This is not a question of bipartisan support for a well proven and trusted public figure. It is common sense in the face of a man who has proven himself not only incompetent for the job but mentally unstable in holding positions of authority where judgement and tolerance is required. Rudd because of his mental health issues is automatically disqualified for any position of responsibility in the public arena.

Four Corners: Northern Territory Indigenous groups not consulted on royal commission

Turnbull has made a big mistake in setting up a Royal Commission over these Four Corners’ allegations. The Commission will become a platform for every deadbeat and his dog to rail against the Correctional system. Crimes by Aboriginals are out of control in NT and the local indigenous community will not accept responsibility for their wilful and criminal ways.

Bali Nine: Imminent Indonesia executions prompt mercy plea from Myuran Sukumaran’s mother

Mrs Raji Sukumaran makes the inevitable cry from the heart but she has still not comprehended the enormity of her son’s crime. That I suppose is the prerogative of a mother, never to accept responsibility for her son’s criminality. Myuran Sukumaran never showed true remorse by cooperating fully with the police. He never made full and frank admissions and refused to provide the police with a clear and precise description of the drug importation racket he ran and organised. Mrs Sukumaran would rather cry over a bunch of deadbeats in an Indonesian penitentiary than save the young Australian lives that would have been lost to eight kilos of heroin on the streets of Sydney.

Further to Four Corners: Dylan Voller strapped to chair multiple times

By the way, the true and tried solution to these ferals is not, of course, the treatment they recently received but the methods of old; the judicious application of corporal punishment in the best interest of the child. Instead of spending millions of dollars on a lawyers’ talk-fest, Mr Turnbull should hire the Master of Discipline of Changi Prison and have him come down here and administer ten stokes of the rattan cane to the backsides of these brats with a further understanding that if they re-offend they can look forward to further canings until they become law abiding citizens. The fathers of these ferals should also be caned for dereliction of parental duty.
